Boo Plastic Bags : (

  • In some parts of the ocean, there are 6 pounds of plastic bags for every pound of plankton.
  • Over 100,000 marine animals are killed each year from plastic bags.
  • There are 2 plastic gatherings in our oceans that have reached a size bigger than the united states.
So what can we do? Use reusable bags! I like using ones I buy from Whole Foods. They always have really nice designs and are only $1. They do rip easily though. Here are some that cost a little more, (although not too much) but are extremely durable.

1. Envirosax: I have one of these and it is great! It hold up to 44lbs so definitely durable... Plus, fully washable and won't fade.
2. BAGGU: Comes in great trendy prints and folds up into a small square that fits right in your pocket!

If 1 out of every 5 people used reusable bags instead of plastic, we would save 330,560,000,000 bags in one lifetime!
